A guide will then accompany you for a visit of the only Norman-style historical church in Quebec, which was built by more than 300 volunteers. Visit the falls that gave the village its name and take the time to visit the Chicoutai house. Meet with a Coaster who will tell you about the history of the village and stories about his region.

Meals at your own convenience (Dinner not included)
Accommodation: L’Escale Lam-Air (2*)

Day 2: Rivière-Au-Tonnerre | Havre-Saint-Pierre (106km)

After your continental breakfast (included), head east towards Havre-St-Pierre. We recommend that you stop at the lookout in Magpie overlooking the Gulf and/or at the site of the hydro-electric dam.

You will then travel through the villages of Riviere-Saint-Jean and Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan. When arrived in Mingan, enjoy a guided tour of the Maison de la Culture Innue. This cultural centre is inspired from the native traditional lifestyle. A permanent exhibition and a craft shop are also offered. Continue your drive to Havre-Saint-Pierre, visit the Maison de la culture Roland Jomphe.

The lunch is at your own convenience. Make your way to the tourist information kiosk in Pélagie Cormier Centre (1010 Promenade des Anciens) to pick up your CD audioguide that you will need the very next day on your way to Natashquan. Check-in at 12:45pm for the 1 pm boarding for your 3 .5 hour guided boat tour. You will admire the breathtaking monoliths in the central sector of the Mingan Archipelago.

Continue your drive to Aquanish. We strongly recommend having lunch at the Fumoir le Goynish before your next discovery. At 1:00 pm departure time for a guided excursion on the Aguanish River to the canyon called “Trait de scie”. You will be transported to this impressive natural attraction aboard a motorized watercraft. After take you way to Natashquan for a meeting with a coaster.
