Day 1 : Flight from Montréal or Québec | Sept-Îles | Rivière-au-Tonnerre (125 km)

Fly with Provincial Airlines from Montreal or Quebec to Sept-Îles. In your rental car, head east toward Minganie. Approximately 85km after Sept-Îles, we suggest you top for a hike along the magnificent Manitou falls (45 to 60 minute trail). While you are there, pick up the audioguide from the tourist information centre; you will listen to it in a few days while travelling from Havre-Saint-Pierre to Natashquan.

In Rivière-au-Tonnerre, a welcome cocktail is waiting for you at the Voyages Coste office, then a Coaster (local resident) will guide you through the history of the village, and the Norman-style wooden church.

During the crossing (estimated 2-hour long crossing), you may have the chance to see marine mammals. The main town of Anticosti Island, Port-Menier, is waiting for you. Free-time to visit on your own, or take the guided tour (optional). At around 4:00 PM, it’s time to board for the return trip to Rivière-au-Tonnerre.

Meals: Continental breakfast included. Lunch and dinner at your convenience.

Jour 3: Rivière-au-Tonnerre | Natashquan (260km)

Today, we head toward Natashquan. On the road, stop in Magpie for the view from the belvedere, and the hydro-electric dam.

In Mingan, visit the Maison de la culture Innue, inspired by the traditional longhouses and way of life, that offers you, among other things, a permanent exhibit and a handicraft shop. Then, the audioguide will accompany you from Havre-Saint-Pierre to Natashquan. Stop for a photo opportunity at the observation point “La montagne ronde” for a unique point of view of Havre-Saint-Pierre from just outside the town.

Then, in Baie-Johan-Beetz, stop at the site of the historical “Château”. In Natashquan, you need to stop at the tourist information centre to visit the Bord du Cap interpretation centre and the Vieille École (old schoolhouse), highlighting the characters from the works of Gilles Vigneault.

Discover the heritage site of the Galets with a Coaster (time to be confirmed). If you have the time, you could head to Kegaska (44 km), the first Lower North Shore village to be linked to the rest of Quebec by the road 138.

Accommodations: Auberge le Port d’Attache 2*

Day 4: Natashquan | Havre Saint-Pierre (160km)

After you breakfast at the inn, stop in Havre-Saint-Pierre and visit the Maison de la Culture Roland-Jomphe, before heading to the portail Pélagie Cormier, where you are expected at 12:30 PM before your 1:00 PM cruise to discover the central sector of the Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve (around 3½ hour long), and admire the monoliths and the fantastic surroundings.

Jour 5 : Havre-Saint-Pierre | Sept-Îles (225km)
