Day 1: --- Sept-Iles

This package begins in Sept-Îles, a major city straddling the 50th parallel of north latitude. This capital of the Middle North Sea is a place where members of the Innu first nation who have lived here for thousands of years rub shoulders daily with the Sept-îliens, sons and daughters of families from the other side of the river, from the Magdalen Islands and from many other places downstream and upstream of the St. Lawrence. A visit to the North Shore Regional Museum and the Old Post Office is an excellent introduction to the region you are about to discover. For nature lovers, we invite you to explore the wonderful walking trails that surround the city. There is the Bois Joli stream garden which may be of interest. The trails in Aylmer-Whittom Park, locally known as Squirrel Park, join those in the Bois Joli Creek Community Garden and the Iron Sculptures and Forest Trails section creating a network long enough to walk the day away! The Squirrel Park has approximately 3 km of trails; adding the nature trails, it is possible to walk more than 15 km. This park is ideal for hiking and appeals to bird watchers. Finally, there is the Promenade du Vieux-Quai park at the Sept-Iles marina. The trail runs along the entire bay of Sept-Iles. In good weather, the view of the islands, the sea and the boats is simply amazing! Lodging : Hotel 2 *

Day 2: Sept-Iles-River-au-Tonnerre

After your lunch not included, a 2-hour cruise will allow you to discover the Sept-Iles archipelago. Once your lunch is over, you are ready to start your road trip in Minganie. On the way to Rivière-au-Tonnerre, we suggest a stop and a hike at Manitou Falls. Welcome cocktail at the Voyages CoSte cooperative office, audio tour of the only historic wooden Norman church in Quebec followed by a meeting with a CoStier. If your schedule permits, enjoy a hike to the magnificent falls that gave their name to the village... Dinner on your own. Lodging at the 2* hotel

Day 3: Rivière-au-Tonnerre | Havre-Saint-Pierre (106 km)

Departure to Havre-Saint-Pierre after the included continental breakfast. In Magpie (possibility of stopping and visiting the dam site). Continuing your journey, you will pass through the villages of Rivière-St-Jean and Longue Pointe de Mingan. When you arrive in the village of Mingan, enjoy a guided tour of the Maison de la Culture Innue. This center is inspired by the longhouses and the traditional life of the Amerindians. You will find a permanent exhibition and a craft store. Continue to Havre-Saint-Pierre, visit the Roland Jomphe House of Culture. Lunch at your leisure. Go to the Pélagie Cormier portal to pick up the road CD at the tourist information booth and arrive at 12:45 p.m. for the 1:00 p.m. departure on a 3.5-hour cruise to discover the central sector of the Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve and admire the fantastic-looking monoliths. Free dinner. Lodging at the 2* hotel.

Day 4: Havre-Saint-Pierre | Aguanish | Natashquan (160km)

After the continental breakfast included at the hotel, take the road towards Natashquan with the CD road guide taken the day before at the Pélagie Cormier Gate. Photo stop at the round mountain (observatory) for a unique view of Havre-Saint-Pierre. In Baie-Johan-Beetz, stop at the exterior site of the historical "castle" for a picture. We recommend that you take the time to walk on the wooden sidewalks of the magnificent bay of the village where you will be able to see different shore birds. We recommend a stop at the cooperative Les Choix de Marguerite before heading back to Natashquan. Supper at your leisure. Lodging at the 2* Inn.

Day 5: Natashquan | Kegaska | Natashquan (45 km)

Continental breakfast included. Visit the tourist information office of Copacte for the visits of the interpretation center Le Bord du Cap and the Old School of Natashquan highlighting the work of Gilles Vigneault. Lunch at your own pace. We suggest that you go to Kegaska, the first village on the Lower North Shore to be connected to the rest of Quebec by route 138. Le Petit Shack offers you the possibility to have a bite to eat on this road to the end of the world. Free meals. Lodging at the Auberge 2*.

Day 6: Natashquan | Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan (206 km)

Continental breakfast included. A stop at Longue Pointe de Mingan is included in your itinerary for the day. The Mingan Islands Research Station welcomes you at 9:30 am, 10:45 am, 1:15 pm or 3:00 pm for a visit of its interpretation center on marine mammals.
