Thanks to the three bridges built by Hydro-Québec, discover new perspectives of the Romaine River and its breathtaking winter landscapes.

Looking to extend your adventure? This stay in Havre-Saint-Pierre can also be added before or after the legendary Route Blanche expedition, a 6-night snowmobile package from Natashquan to Blanc-Sablon offered by Voyages Coste. It’s a unique opportunity to enhance your journey by exploring the spectacular landscapes of the Lower North Shore, where snowmobiles provide access to remote villages that are not connected to the road network during winter.

Arriving by plane? Voyages Coste, a travel agency specializing in snowmobile tours along Québec’s North Shore and a social economy enterprise, will assist you in planning your stay and ensure you enjoy the best possible experience. You may also be eligible, subject to program requirements, for advantageous airfare rates offered through the Regional Air Access Program (PAAR).

Day 1 : Havre-Saint-Pierre | Welcome to Chalets Didoche

Upon your arrival in Havre-Saint-Pierre, in the land of the Cayens, you will receive a warm welcome from your guide, who will be delighted to introduce you to the beauty of Minganie and offer you an unforgettable sustainable tourism experience.

Settle into Chalets Didoche or choose one of their new eco-friendly and comfortable tiny homes. Fully equipped, these accommodations feature a kitchen and everything you need for a pleasant and relaxing stay, surrounded by nature and the wide-open spaces of Minganie.

Located just steps away from the Trans-Québec 3 (TQ3) snowmobile trail, Chalets Didoche is the perfect starting point for your adventure.

Take advantage of this first day to settle comfortably into your chalet or tiny home and enjoy some relaxing time with friends before setting off the next day to explore the Romaine River by snowmobile.

Arriving without a snowmobile or equipment? To ensure availability, visitors wishing to rent a snowmobile and the necessary gear for their excursion must make a reservation at least one week in advance.

If you are bringing your own snowmobile, we recommend filling up your gas tank as soon as you arrive in Havre-Saint-Pierre, so you can set off the following morning with complete peace of mind.

Day 2Discovering the Romaine River (100 km)

Let the adventure begin! Accompanied by your qualified guide, trained according to the standards recognized by Aventure Écotourisme Québec (AEQ), set off on an approximately 100 km snowmobile excursion through the stunning winter landscapes of Québec’s North Shore.

This journey invites you to discover the Romaine River, its vast open spaces, and a remarkable region where nature and human engineering come together in spectacular fashion.

Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to admire two of the three bridges built by Hydro-Québec as part of the Romaine hydroelectric project. These impressive structures allow snowmobilers to cross the river and continue exploring the surrounding wilderness.

Whether you’re looking to discover new horizons or simply enjoy a wonderful day of snowmobiling in good company, this excursion is all about the thrill of the ride, the joy of discovery, and the beauty of the landscapes.

Back at your Chalet Didoche, end the day gathered around the outdoor fire pit and enjoy a relaxing moment in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Chalets Didoche.
