SEPT-ÎLES BY MINIBUS, CAPITAL OF THE MIDDLE NORTH SHORE

Stopover every Tuesday morning – 8:30 am to 10:45 am (rate $86/person + taxes) from June 02 to September 29, 2026, inclusively:

  • Between 8 and 13 people;
  • Approximately 135 to 150 minutes, or according to the ship’s schedule.

This tour will allow you to discover various aspects of this capital of the Middle North Sea where members of the Innu first nation who have been living here for thousands of years rub shoulders daily with the Sept-îliens, sons and daughters of families from the other side of the river, from the Magdalen Islands and from many other places downstream and upstream of the St. Lawrence.

We won’t forget to take you to the Côte-Nord Regional Museum, which is an excellent introduction to the region you are about to discover, without forgetting to tell you about the importance of the Moisie River (Mista-shipu) to the Innu people.

Today, culture, traditions, nature, education, sports, health and recreation have their roots in the heart of this modern city where the convergence of the Euro-Quebec culture with that of the Innu is lived.

This morning tour lasts 130 to 150 minutes, depending on the ship’s schedule, and includes an overview of the city, the islands in the center of the Bay (Uashat), the beach area, the third largest airport in Quebec, as well as visits to the Regional Museum and the Old Trading Post.

ANTICOSTI - MOONLIGHT TASTING AT THE MUSQUARO SMOKEHOUSE

Stopover every Tuesday evening – 8 pm to 9 pm (rate $80/person + taxes) from June 09 to September 22, 2026, inclusively;

A short night tour of Port-Menier and a visit to the Musquaro Smokehouse. This tour will allow you to understand the process of cold smoking according to a traditional native method. The products are smoked with maple wood.

At the end of your experience, you will be able to savor tahe exquisite taste of one of the products offered by the master of the Musquaro Smokehouse.

ANTICOSTI - OYSTER TASTING AT THE WRECK OF THE CALOU

Stopover on Tuesday evenings – 8 pm to 9 pm (rate $99/person + taxes) from June 2, 2026 to October 27, 2026.

  • Guided tour in a Mercedes passenger van lasting approximately one hour or according to the ship’s schedule;
  • Between 4 and 11 people.

Savor the perfect oyster produced by the only oyster farm in Anticosti (Ferme Manowin). Complimented by a glass of sparkling wine, learn how these oysters are refined to perfection.

The tasting will take place on the enchanting site of the Calou wreck, a notable point of interest of the island. Along the way, meet numerous deer who like to be hand-fed!

MINGAN SAFARI - FROM HAVRE-SAINT-PIERRE TO KEGASKA

Stopover every Wednesday, early in the morning – 6:30 am to 5:45 pm (rate $209/person + taxes). From June 10 to September 16, 2026, inclusively.

  • The time and duration of the activity vary according to the ship’s schedule;
  • Land excursion between Havre-Saint-Pierre and Kegaska (200km).
  • Between 10 and 13 people.

A special opportunity offered to visitors sailing to the Lower North Shore to visualize the country of the North Shore plains, on the road to the famous village sung and narrated by the great Quebec poet who, having been born there, having lived there and having rubbed shoulders with a number of characters who have become legendary, was inspired for a long time in his songs.

An opportunity to spend a few hours there and enjoy lunch. VIP tour of a legendary location, celebrated in song by Bécaud with lyrics by Gilles Vigneault.

On the agenda: Route 138 while listening to the audio production “Sur la route de Natashquan” (On the Road to Natashquan), the villages of Baie-Johan-Beetz and Aguanish, a peaceful tour of Natashquan, a welcome tasting, and a visit to places evoking the history and life of Natashquan: the classified site of the Galet stores, the church, the poet’s family heritage site, and the Old School Interpretation Center, contact with the Native American population of Nutashkuan (“where bears are hunted”).

The last stop is Kegaska, a small English-speaking fishing community, the first village on the Lower North Shore, and the only one connected to Route 138.

Stroll along the wooden sidewalks of this village that fascinated Quebec thanks to the film La grande séduction. Your local guide (in English only) will show you some of the filming locations and tell you about other places, such as the fish processing plant and the church.

You will also have access to the Rowsell House interpretation center for a visit and purchase of souvenirs.

TÊTE-À-LA-BALEINE BY MINIBUS

Discover one of the three francophone communities of the Lower North Shore and the daily life of its inhabitants. Your local guide will show you, among other things, the school, the heliport, the church and the fascinating first aid system.

A few stops are also planned to enjoy the view of the water and the islands on the 11 km road between the village and the wharf.

Embark with a local guide and a young student from the community to learn more about this village with Innu and Scottish origins.

You will have the chance to travel to Baie-des-Moutons (Mutton Bay), a small picturesque village connected by road to La Tabatière.

IMPORTANT: If the Bella Desgagnés’ stopover time is shortened, the Mutton Bay visit will be replaced by other activities.

BLANC-SABLON AND THE LABRADOR BORDER

Friday morning stopover – 8:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. (Price: $55/person + taxes) from May 8, 2026, to October 9, 2026, inclusively.

  • Guided bus tour lasting approximately two hours or according to the ship’s schedule;
  • Minimum 15 people.

Spend a morning in the far east of the province. Your local guide will take you to several locations, including the magnificent Brador Falls, the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Shrine, and the Labrador border.

In high season, you will also be able to discover two small exhibits on the history of the region. Take advantage of this excursion to buy a local souvenir.

BLANC-SABLON AND BONNE ESPÉRANCE - ON THE FORGOTTEN RTE 138

Friday morning stopover – 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (Price: $119/person + taxes) from May 1, 2026, to October 9, 2026, inclusively.

  • Guided bus tour lasting approximately three hours or according to the ship’s schedule;
  • Between 6 and 20 people.

Upon arrival in Blanc-Sablon aboard the Bella Desgagnés, your private guide will be waiting to take you on a personalized tour to Ferme de la Baie du Saumon. On the road heading west, you will see the villages of Lourdes de Blanc-Sablon, Brador, and Middle Bay.

You will also be able to see the sub-arctic wonders on this scenic route. Arriving in Salmon Bay, a tour of the scallop farm facilities is offered by its owner. You will be able to savor the subtlety of this seafood.

On the way back to the ship, you can enjoy other natural attractions of the area, and make a few more photo stops.

The main points of interest you will discover are: the Labrador border, the heritage site of Anse Amour and the historical lighthouse of Pointe Amour before returning to the Bella.

Discover the history of this island 17 times the size of Montreal. See the foundations of the Château Menier, the Louis Jolliet commemorative plaque and the village’s artisan store.

Learn about the life of the islanders, while keeping an eye out for a deer as you pass.

ANTICOSTI - UNESCO SITE FOSSIL HUNT

Stopover on Sunday afternoons – 3h15 pm to 4h15 pm (rate $99/person + taxes) from May 31, 2026 to October 25, 2026.

  • Guided tour in a Mercedes passenger van lasting approximately one hour or according to the ship’s schedule;
  • Between 4 and 11 people.

Come discover why Anticosti is now on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list!  On the way to the famous fossil site of Cap-de-la-Vache-qui-Pisse, learn why this site is so important. Your guide will provide several explanations on the fossils of the first mass extinction of life on earth, which occurred around 450 million years ago.

The activity includes a fossil hunt during which you will look for the most interesting specimens. The best: you are allowed to take home a souvenir of this experience (under certain conditions). Treasures guaranteed!

EXCURSIONS 2026 - FOR THE PASSENGERS OF THE BELLA DESGAGNÉS

Important to know

  • The duration of each tour may vary depending on the actual docking time of the ship and weather conditions.
  • The price indicated excludes taxes and is valid for one person. Tips to guides and drivers are at your discretion.
  • Some tours are offered in English, others in French, depending on the official language spoken in each village. We constantly educate our members on the importance of functional bilingualism.
  • The excursions must be purchased at the latest on Sunday before the departure from Rimouski. The capacity of reception in the villages is limited.
  • The list of participants is given to the ROMM animators the Monday morning of the departure from Rimouski.
  • The mosquito repellent will potentially be your best friend.
  • Please bring good walking shoes, warm clothes, raincoat, sun cream, a camera
  • The departure time of each excursion will be confirmed by the ROMM animators.
  • The return trip is always scheduled in time for the departure of the ship.
  • Some excursions are during meal times, check the schedule.
  • It is possible that some of the excursions presented in this document may not be available every week.

Payment and Refund Policies for Plans.

A confirmation of the reservation is sent to the passenger after the Carrier has received 100% of the total cost of the boarding pass, all in accordance with the Carrier’s policies. An amount of 15% of the total cost of the reservation up to a maximum of $350 is non-refundable. Payment must be made by credit card. Only Visa and MasterCard credit cards are accepted.

Excluding the non-refundable portion of 15% of the total cost of the reservation up to a maximum of $350, all purchases are refundable up to 49 days before the scheduled date of travel. It is possible to change the date of the trip according to availability or request a credit valid for one year up to 28 days before the planned date of the trip.

An administrative charge of 5% of the total cost of the reservation up to a maximum of $150 (plus taxes) is payable and must be paid by the customer to make the change or apply for a travel credit valid for a period of one year (payable upon change).

In the event that Relais Nordik has to cancel a trip or if you are unable to travel due to illness (covid-19 or other, upon presentation of a medical certificate), the amount is fully refunded or credited for a trip l ‘Next year.

Are there guided tours and excursions to the villages?

During the summer period, la Coopérative de solidarité en tourisme équitable (CoSte) organizes shore excursions for a fee.
