Make the most of your stay in Blanc-Sablon and Bonne-Espérance (comprising the villages of Middle Bay, Rivière-Saint-Paul and Vieux-Fort), and the coast of Labrador with a visit to Battle Harbour National Historic Site.
Whether you’re arriving on the QAJAQ from Newfoundland, on the Bella Desgagnés from Natashquan or via the Route 389 and the Trans-Labrador Highway, you won’t want to miss any of the attractions of this region.

Arrive in Blanc-Sablon in the morning via the Qajaq ferry from St-Barbe, NFLD (1h45m crossing).
After lunch, leave for Vieux-Fort to visit the village and meet a Coaster who will tell stories and history of this land.
Overnight in Rivière Saint-Paul at the Whiteley Inn
Start your day with a visit to the Middle Bay Interpretation Centre. Then to Salmon Bay and a 1-hour guided tour of the scallop raising facility at Salmon Bay Farm. Stop at Brador Falls on the drive back to Blanc-Sablon where you can climb to the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Snctuary for a spectacular view of the area.
Overnight in Blanc-Sablon at the Auberge 4 Saisons (3*) or Hôtel Blanc-Sablon (2*).
Depart for Mary’s Harbour in Labrador. Take the Ferry across St. Louis Straight to the island of Battle Harbour (1,5-hour crossing).
Overnight in Battle Harbour.
Admission to the site and guided tour of the historic village included.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Ferry back to the mainland and return to Blanc-Sablon.
Visit the Red Bay World Heritage Site along the way.
Boat trip to l’île Verte, the island in front of the village of Blanc-Sablon.
Ferry back to Newfoundland aboard the QAJAK, Dîner libre. Board the Bella Desgagnés on its homeward voyage or take the long road northward and back to the Baie-Comeau Ferry.
